Losi

Measina are Moana treasures tha embody mana; are an extension of story telling and are held with the upmost respect. This body of work uses a mix of different treasures that are re-thought & presented in an urban setting where the contemporary context precludes such varied traditions.

This piece was place responsive, by taking this to a predominantly Pasifika community allows the work to engage with communities who have been subjected to colonisation, westernisation & migration.

Losi questions & subverts the colonial lifestyle that has been woven into our cultures while allowing us to remember what was stripped from our people.
